OFFICIAL: Iowa State IINSPIRE LSAMP Student Atte Kadoma presented research for competition in poster form at the Louis Stokes Midwest Center of Excellence Annual Conference in Indianapolis on October 7 and received a second place finish. Kadoma is a sophomore at ISU majoring in Materials Engineering, and she says she was “really excited and very honored” by the recognition her work received and enjoyed her experience at the conference. “There were a lot of good projects,” she says. “I really enjoyed getting to network with professionals and getting to hear about opportunities that are out there, and what they’ve done with the degrees they have. This could be me in five or ten years.”
Kadoma’s research poster was entitled “The effect of smoothening electrodes in revealing finer molecular information.” Her anticipated graduation date is May 2020.
